Our stock exchange was established in 1966 as a result of the initiatives of the then district governor Hilmi Keçeci, Chamber of Commerce President Mehmet Karaman and businessmen, with the orders of the Ministry of Commerce dated 28.06.1966 and Branch 4 of the General Directorate of Internal Trade, Chambers and Stock Exchanges No. 12828. The first parliamentary election was held on 06.09.1966 with the participation of 77 members and the first parliament was formed as follows and M.İrfan DAVAS was elected as the chairman of the parliament.

Our stock exchange has shown progress towards institutionalization in the 60 years that have passed. For example; Merchants Site was established and a stock exchange building was built within the site, providing a closer and more effective market with members. The weighbridge facility was put into service, providing our members with a more reliable weighing opportunity. Computer systems were started to be used in communication and operation.

In order to provide better service, importance was given to Human Resources, and knowledgeable and competent personnel were assigned. Recently, in addition to the minimum duties specified in the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Law No. 5174, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges provided training on student scholarships, quality product cultivation for farmers, spraying, hormone use, and grape drying. Salihli's agricultural, economic and social problems were determined, and solutions were sought by communicating with local governments and other relevant institutions. In order to provide better service to our members and the society in connection with this, the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate was obtained and TOBB Accreditation studies were initiated.
